Fun Wedding Shopping Today

This afternoon was all about Larry and Krista's upcoming wedding.  For those who don't know Larry is my son and Krista is my daughter-in-law to be.  We went dress shopping with the young woman who is to be maid of honor in the wedding party.  After trying on lots of dresses, in two different shops, dress choices were narrowed down to two.  I really like one of them and have my fingers crossed that it will be the "winner".

Krista's mom and I also chose our dress today, but no way am I going to order until I must.  I want to lose that lousy twenty pounds before I am willing to submit to the measuring tape.

Anyway, it was a nice day and I was unable to make any new cards today.  Hopefully I will get to  photograph and list a couple of new items on Etsy tomorrow.  Have you seen my shop yet?

Bridal Thank You Cards and Tags from Sweet and Sassy Cards Feature

I would love to thank Angie from Terra Verde Bride.  Have you seen this blog?  It offers a wonderful directory of wedding vendors, listed by state and will give you some simple solutions for your big day.

The first thing you notice on this beautiful site is a stunning bouquet, followed by the list of vendors.  Each featured shop has a great write up explaining how they can help simplify and beautify your special day.

It is my honor to be included with this group of shops.  The feature on Sweet and Sassy Cards, which specializes in bridal cards and tags can be found here - http://www.terraverdebride.com/unique-invitations-for-a-unique-bride/.html

You can find the list of wedding vendors and the home page of Terra Verde Bride right here -

The Purpose of a Greeting Card, or Who Needs One?

Maybe not having a reason to send a greeting card is the best reason of all to send one.  Celebrate everyday with friends and family just because you care.

Your mother wants to hear from you, your best friend misses you.  Did you ever think that the best way to "friend" someone may be with a small folded piece of cardstock that will let your friends and family know that you were thinking of them today?

This has nothing at all whatsoever to do with cards, but I'm craving chinese food today and cannot wait to go get some.  Not good for my measurements I know, but sometimes you just have to do it.  I do need to get my not-so-tiny-fanny back to the gym.  Spring clothes waiting for warmer temperatures in my closet will not fit-and yes that does have to do with card making!

Want to see the newest card I listed today at http://www.sweetandsassycards.etsy.com/ ?  Here it is, perfect to send a get well wish, or for sending a feel better soon message to anyone.

My windows are open

This is one of my favorite days of the year. The temperatures have risen to 50 degrees and the windows are open. I'll admit the air is a little chilly, but it feels so good to have some fresh air circulating through the house.

Sales have been slow at www.sweetandsassycards.etsy.com It seems that changes are being made at Etsy and things are very slow. My new shop, which specializes in bridal cards and tags is waiting for sale number two. I really think the tags there are very special and I can hardly wait to sell more. Will you check them out? You can find them at my Artfire shop www.sweetandsassycards.artfire.com. I love those theme wedding tags.

I hope that springtime brings you happiness and peace. It's time to shut these windows. Our early spring in Buffalo seems to be over, and temperatures are going to fall below freezing again tonight. It was good while it lasted.

Chilly, Sweet and Sassy

It is cold here this weekend, so cold in fact that any plans to go anywhere have been curtailed! I plan to be housebound and productive in my card studio. Got a few things accomplished today, how come time goes so fast when you're having fun?

Did you get a chance to check out the Artisan Bridal Fair yet? I know that it has been well attended and guess what? I had my first bridal sale on Sweet and Sassy Cards on ArtFire!

http://www.artfire.com/users/SweetandSassyCards. Was it because of the Bridal Fair? It may have been. Here's where to go to check it out, before it's too late http://artisianweddingfair.blogspot.com/.

In other news, Sassy Sophie visited Etsy finds this week. I have had thousands of views and made a few more copies of this sassy anti-valentine. Have you met Sophie yet?
